RCEES's short history is defined by the pace of its growth — from establishment in 2019 to recognition among the top ten ACE Impact centres on the continent.

    RCEES established at UENR

    Selected by the World Bank as an Africa Centre of Excellence for Development Impact.

  2. 2020

    Postgraduate intake begins

    First cohorts of MSc and PhD students enrol across the Centre's programmes.

    Ultramodern Centre building groundbreaking

    Construction begins on RCEES's dedicated research and teaching facility.

  4. 2023

    International accreditation

    Programme accreditation secured from continental and international quality assurance bodies.

    ProREG professional training launched

    Industry-aligned renewable energy training rolls out with KNUST and TU Berlin.
